Damn Kiln

Well, I’ve been fighting with a kiln for the past week. First it decided it was going to fire to 3 degrees, and now it is erroring out at 1932 ˚F. Ergh. So my test tiles are screwed up, my giant bowl of experimentation is not even worth finishing, and God knows how the mugs will turn out.

Furthermore at the end I had to double up with someone in the large kiln, and since I was firing other peoples pieces as well as my own, there wasn’t enough room for all of mine. 😦

Still, I did get my latest tripod in. The glaze will be screwy but at least it’ll be finished! And screwy glazes on a sculpture is an opportunity, as opposed to functional work where its a disappointment. :p
