Tuesday’s list

Well, yesterday I finished the large wall piece I’d like to submit to the gallery at the showcase. The gallery is the competative part of showcase, people put up their work and everyone votes on the best piece. Invariably, something woodfired wins. Bleh. (So sick of woodfired. People are LAZY with it and don’t do anything with it other than “let the fire decide how my pots look. At least find some way to make cool glaze interactions or try to control the ash deposits, people!!! *grump* ) However I’ve made a HUGE sea creature, the largest I’ve ever made, and if it doesn’t crack while drying, bisqing, glazing or transport its going to be Effing Awesome!

Anyhow, I also am mostly done decorating the first glaze load. Here’s for once firing! Gives me a lot more time to work. πŸ™‚

Today I have chester with me at the studio, which is cute, but he always wants to be on my lap. like right now. So cute, but not condusive to pottery. Fortunatly, I have a big smoked bone for him to work on. Its almost as big as he is and he loves it. πŸ™‚

I’m halfway through the last two drawings. Then I’m going to bring all of them back home and fan them dry while they’re between drywall. Here’s hoping they fire flat!

And now its time for me to go to work. Wish me luck. I got lots to do. πŸ™‚
